It's been almost a week since my last post!

I've been taking a break. Sort of.

I've been hard at work with the book, working on getting it out there for the public, tweaking things as needed, and advertising on Facebook and Instagram.

I've sold three copies so far, and gotten a five star rating on Goodreads! I've gotten some good feedback from my peers in the breeding community, too. It's all very encouraging and exciting.

Today I reached out to a couple of local pet stores via email, about offering the book there. I plan to follow up in about a week and a half, and am hopeful, but the worst that can happen is I'm told no. In that case, I'll just keep on hustling on my own!

In rattery business, more rat related; I have Peppermint Patty and Linus paired up, as well as Persy and Reiko, and they've been together since August 8th. I'm hoping for pregnancy confirmation for both girls soon.

My current litters are growing out, and the Five Nights at Freddy's Litter is ready to be separated by gender by my birthday on the 27th. The Dinner and Pokémon litters follow a week later, and then the Love Litter a week after that.

I'm hopeful Persy and Patty will have babies in about two weeks if pregnant.

I'll then be pairing up my BSS (Blue Stone Siamese Rattery) rats for my foundation litters for the dwarf project. I'd initially hoped to get these pairings going by August 20th, however I've had to stretch the timeline a bit to ensure I have adequate time and space for all the babies. It's important to me that I take great care of the rats the way they deserve, and don't over produce and leave myself overwhelmed and the rattery overcrowded.

Tomorrow, I'll be cleaning the cages where the males are kept, as they're getting a bit smelly and ready for a tidy. If I have the energy, I'll do the female, baby, and pairing cages as well, and if not then I'll do those ones a day later.

Rat life.
