Holy cow. I spent all morning being an emotional mess, crying my eyes off. It came in waves, and after I'd stop crying and think I was fine, it would come rushing in again, overwhelm me, and I'd be in tears and sobbing all over. What a day.

I am completely overjoyed!!

I recieved the best email this morning, that set off a whirlwind of joyous emotion that I could barely handle!

MY EBOOK WAS PUBLISHED TO KINDLE TODAY!!

To say I'm thrilled and filled with joy at this accomplishment is an understatement without measure. I'm even tearing up a little bit now, as I write this post.

My book is not very long, around 100 pages. However, I genuinely poured my heart and soul into writing it. Having it available to the public on such a platform is... Indescribable.

I'm not generally at a loss for words, as I love written expression.

As a neurodivergent woman in her 40's, I struggle a lot with some of my issues, including imposter syndrome.

This experience is a step toward validation, which is often a carrot on a stick to a person like me. I don't mean to, but I chase it infinitely, often leaving myself exhausted and feeling unworthy.

Today, I caught the carrot, and it's one of the most validating and healing experiences I have had.

Kindle is just the first step.

I'm also working to be published on Google, Apple, and other platforms available to writers. While I have yet to sell my first copy, I'm content right now to wait.

I have been sharing it with other people in the rat breeding community, and receiving some very wonderful and rewarding feedback. It means so much to have the validation of my peers, and to receive positive comments from them on my work.

I'm crying again.

If you'd like to read my book, check out my website at https://bewitchedrattery.ca , and visit the section called Basic Rat Owner's Guide. There is a preview of the book, along with information about purchasing the full version.

If you happen to read it, I sincerely welcome feedback on your reading experience, with gratitude. I will use this feedback to improve the book for future editions, and for improving my skills as an author.

I can't believe I actually did this, it's incredible!!

Below is a screenshot of the email I recieved this morning from Kindle.
